Getting Started
If you are new to the club and need flight instruction, please take a few moments and take a look at the downloads below. It is important that you are acquainted with all aspects of safety before taking to the air, whether new to RC flying or joining the club as an accomplished flyer. The instructors we have are capable of giving you the very best instruction to get you in the air safely. Membership in the Academy of Model Aeronautics ( AMA ) is a mandatory requirement to fly at our field.

Experienced Pilots
For those of you who have experience flying R/C aircraft and are comfortable flying on your own, you will need to have one of our instructors (listed here) verify your flying abilities through a check-out flight. The purpose of this is to ensure your safety as well as that of other pilots and spectators at the field.

New Pilots
As a new/beginning pilot, it is very important that you receive proper instruction not only in the flight of your model, but also in its set-up and maintenance as well. In addition, until one our instructors has approved you for solo flight, you will not be permitted to fly at our field without the assistance supervision of an experience member or instructor. We have several instructors who are available to assist you with every aspect of R/C modeling including what to buy, construction, set-up, flight and maintenance. While the instructors are out at the field quite frequently, it is best to call ahead of time and schedule a time to meet rather than just showing-up and hoping to find someone to help you. Please remember that our instructors are volunteers and donate their time because they enjoy the hobby and helping others. After a introductory lesson, Club Membership is mandatory.
